Warning: Improper pedal installation can cause crank failure. Prioritise correct installation to prevent damage and accidents.

Installing bike pedals is a quick and straightforward process. Follow these steps to install your bike pedals with ease:

  1. Gather the necessary tools: To install the pedals, you'll need a 15mm spanner or small shifter

  2. Identify the left and right pedals: Take note of the "L" and "R" markings on the pedals or check their threads to determine which one goes on the left and which one on the right.

  3. Apply a thin layer of grease: Before installation, it's recommended to apply a thin layer of grease to the pedal threads. This helps prevent seizing and makes future removal easier.

  4. Install the right pedal: Begin by installing the right pedal. Thread it clockwise (to the right) by hand into the right crankarm. Ensure it is securely seated in the crankarm but avoid over tightening at this stage.

  5. Install the left pedal: Proceed to install the left pedal. Thread it counterclockwise (to the left) by hand into the left crankarm. Again, make sure it is securely seated without over tightening.

  6. Securely tighten both pedals: Once both pedals are properly threaded, use the pedal wrench or Allen key to securely tighten them. Ensure they are snug and firmly attached to the crankarms but be cautious not to over tighten, as it may damage the threads.

That's it! Your bike pedals are now installed and ready to go. You can now enjoy your ride with confidence. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
