What is the correct Tyre Pressure?

Maintaining proper tyre pressure achieves a number of key things - it lets your bike roll quickly, ride smoothly, and avoid flat tyres.

Narrow tyres need more air pressure than wide ones: Road tyres typically require 65 to 100 psi (pounds per square inch); Mountain Bike tyres require around 15 to 25 psi; and Gravel and Commuter Hybrid style tyres require around 25 to 40 psi. Fat bikes can run quite low tyre pressure.

When in doubt - read the sidewall of the tyre where a PSI figure will be displayed and inflate to that pressure using a track/floor pump with a pressure gauge.
